Position Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and interdisciplinary Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join a collaborative project aimed at advancing multi-robot planning and learning in partially observable and adversarial environments.Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. Duties and Responsibilities:The successful candidate will:
- Conduct research on multi-agent reinforcement learning and Monte Carlo tree search.
- Apply algorithms on physical robots.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple Universities and research labs to integrate inputs.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through academic publications, presentations, and community outreach.
- Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering, electrical/ mechanical engineering, or closely related fields
- Good organizational and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and communicate proactively
- Highly motivated with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with robot planning and learning, e.g., multi-agent reinforcement learning
- The individual is expected to actively pursue high-quality publications and participate in generating new ideas and writing.
