Employment Type: Full-Time, ExemptPosition Summary:The O’Neill Group is seeking an experienced Site Work Development Manager to oversee all phases of site preparation and infrastructure development for our multifamily residential projects in the Poughkeepsie/Hyde Park, NY area. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in excavation, utility installation, surveying, and site development. The manager will be responsible for field layout, underground utility systems, equipment operation, soil and rock work, material procurement, labor scheduling, and direct supervision of crews to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Development & Layout:
- Utilize a Total Station to perform accurate site layout, grading, and alignment of infrastructure.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee installation of sewer lines, electrical lines, gas lines, and related utilities.
- Supervise rock removal, soil improvement, and grading operations to meet engineering requirements.
- Operate and maintain excavating and surveying equipment, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Provide training and oversight for crew members in proper equipment operation and site procedures.
- Schedule, assign, and manage laborers and subcontractors on site.
- Monitor daily productivity, safety compliance, and quality of work.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and site records.
- Order and track delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment as required.
- Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and utility companies to ensure compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve field issues and unforeseen conditions in coordination with project leadership.
- Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to promote a safe work environment.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in site development, excavation, and utility installation.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Total Station surveying equipment or similar equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of site utilities, soil remediation, and grading techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain excavation and survey equipment.
- Proven experience in managing labor crews and coordinating subcontractors.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be able to work Saturdays as required by project schedules.
- OSHA 30 Certified.
- Strong commitment and dedication to project delivery and team collaboration.
- Base Salary: $125,000 – $150,000 annually (good-faith estimate based on current project scope and candidate’s experience).
