Real Estate Developments & Investments Associate Attorney / Mid-Senior LevelLocation: Dallas, TXOur client, a prominent AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their Real Estate Development & Investments Practice Group in Dallas. This is an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated real estate transactions in a collaborative, high-growth practice that offers clear opportunities for advancement.Candidate Profile
  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in Texas, in good standing.
  • 3–7 years of substantive experience in real estate transactions, particularly acquisitions.
  • Significant experience with the acquisition and development of real property, as well as borrower-side construction financing.
  • Exposure to complex real estate transactions, including joint venture formation, financing arrangements, and the acquisition and disposition of assets.
  • AmLaw 200 experience required.
  • Familiarity with the pace and expectations of a sophisticated law firm environment is essential.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with demonstrated ability to handle complex legal documents.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on complex deals.
  • Interest in mentoring junior associates and contributing to team development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on matters related to the acquisition, development, and financing of real property.
  • Represent borrowers in construction financing transactions and assist with all aspects of development projects.
  • Assist with the formation of joint ventures and negotiation of financing arrangements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, and loan documents.
  • Manage due diligence processes, title and survey reviews, and closing logistics.
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to advance project and client objectives.

  • Competitive Compensation: Includes an annual base salary range of $180,000 – $310,000, commensurate with experience, and the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus.
