The Department of Mathematics at St. Mary's University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2026. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, maintaining an active program of scholarship, and engaging in university service. Applicants are expected to have completed a Ph.D. in statistics, applied mathematics, or mathematics by August 2026. The successful candidate will be able to teach upper-level undergraduate statistics courses as well as other undergraduate mathematics courses across the curriculum, possibly including specialized courses in actuarial science and/or data science (experience teaching all such courses preferred), and is expected to be on campus and to teach in-person.St. Mary's University, as a Catholic Marianist University, fosters the formation of people in faith and educates leaders for the common good through community, integrated liberal arts and professional education, and academic excellence: .
