Build your career with a world leader in sports construction and surfacing.We are seeking a Construction Manager to support our team at Tarkett Sports Construction Central, a trusted partner in design-build and sports construction. They support big ideas from start to finish, delivering on concept, construction, and ongoing care for track, field and courts. The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring schedule adherence, safety compliance, and resolving issues. If you are not on-site, you are at Lee’s Summit, MO office. You will be reporting to the Director of Construction management West region.Tarkett Sports Construction Central is part of Tarkett Sports.   • Reviewing construction documents in Precon phase for constructability and means and methods approach.
  • Creating project master and micro schedules, overseeing construction project progress to ensure it is following the established timeline.
  • Managing and coordinating the work of subcontractors and ensuring they meet their contractual obligations.
  • Ensuring adherence to building codes, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Resolving any issues or delays that may arise in the construction process.
  • Effective communication with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
  • Must be competent in coordinating site operations and able to oversee manpower & equipment on multiple project sites.
What you need for success:
  • Experience: 5+ years’ experience in civil construction or a related bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated experience and success running a $5 million plus civil construction projects.
  • Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience in construction or building operations.
  • Experience with post tension construction, site storm water systems, site excavation, sports field construction etc. preferred.
  • Certifications:
  • ASBA certified or become ASBA certified within 1 year.
  • OSHA 10 required.
  • Technical Skills: Highly proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Projects’ Scheduling software is a plus.
  • Preferred Experience: Control Board and Procore
  • Leadership: Effectively guide and motivate on-site teams to ensure timely and quality project completion.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve construction challenges to maintain project momentum.
  • Communication: Clearly convey information and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish preferred

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the outdoor, indoor, or loud areas. Where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
