- Support the day-to-day operations of the Repo and Securities Lending desk, including trade capture, reconciliation, and P&L attribution.
- Manage and respond to internal and external client inquiries, providing high-touch service and operational accuracy.
- Assist with the firm’s global financing and balance sheet optimization strategies.
- Monitor and report on liquidity risk, balance sheet limits, and regulatory constraints.
- Analyze large data sets to identify inefficiencies and trading opportunities using Excel and programming tools.
- Collaborate with traders, sales, risk, operations, and technology teams to improve workflows and build scalable desk solutions.
- Develop a deep understanding of the firm’s collateral base, market liquidity, and repo/MBS market dynamics.
- Work toward earning the responsibility of managing a trading book over time.
- 3–8 years of experience in a securities finance, repo, or secured funding environment (buy-side or sell-side).
- Strong product knowledge in U.S. Treasuries and mortgage-backed securities (MBS) is required.
- Exposure to credit or equity financing is a strong plus.
- Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, macros); Python, VBA, or SQL programming is a strong plus.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage time-sensitive and high-volume tasks accurately.
- Deep understanding of liquidity risk, balance sheet limits, and funding market mechanics.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to take ownership and grow within the role.
