Employment Type: Full timeShift: 12 Hour Night ShiftDescription:Position Purpose:At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU) delivers patient care to individuals in critical condition.What You Will Do:Assume responsibility for Critical Care Patients, conducting assessments, devising care plans, and adjusting critical drips to ensure hemodynamic stability and appropriate sedation levels.Attend to patients requiring advanced monitoring, heightened observation, utilization of invasive equipment, and administration of intricate medication regimens.Minimum QualificationsRequired:Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing requiredValid RN license in ConnecticutPreferred:Bachelor’s degree in NursingIdeal candidates will have one or more years of ICU, Critical Care, or Step Down nursing experienceCandidates with a minimum of one year of acute inpatient nursing experience will be considered for trainingBLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.Position Highlights:Full-Time: 36 hrs/week – Night ShiftRotating weekends and holidaysSpecialty pay available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experienceMinistry/Facility InformationSaint Francis Hospital, established in 1897, has been a cornerstone institution in Connecticut.
