$55,918 - $79,862 annuallyAs a Flight Paramedic, you will be a vital member of a high-performance medical flight crew, delivering advanced pre-hospital and inter-facility care to critically ill or injured patients. You will operate in dynamic environments, often under extreme conditions, requiring rapid decision-making, clinical expertise, and seamless teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced life support (ALS) and critical care during air and ground transport.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with flight nurses, pilots, and medical control to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for clinical care and billing.
- Participate in ongoing training, simulations, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Represent PHI Health in community outreach, education, and public relations events.
- Ensure aircraft medical equipment is operational and stocked before each mission.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Active Paramedic certification in MS (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum 3 years of 911 EMS experience (5 years preferred).
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, PHTLS/ITLS (NRP preferred).
- FP-C certification (or obtained within 24 months of hire).
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must pass a physical exam, drug screening, and background check.
- Weight must be maintained below 235 lbs due to aircraft safety requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
- Prior flight or critical care transport experience.
- Instructor certifications (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS) highly desirable.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting systems.
