The mine development team is a project-based team tasked with creating essential infrastructure, including access declines, ventilation systems, and ground support, to ensure safe and efficient limestone extraction.Job Details:Mine Development Team - Rogers Group Inc - Shepherdsville, KYFull-TimeNight Shift - approximate shift times of 08:00 p.m. - 06:00 a.m.Starting pay for this position is $29/hr. This includes a $25.00/hr. base pay + $4.00/hr. for shift differential. Candidates with mining experience and specifically roof bolting experience are preferred. Additional pay may be available based on the candidate's experience level and skill set.The successful candidate for this role will have experience operating mining equipment in an underground mining environment, and an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. In addition to operating a roof bolter, this individual may be required to help on the ground maintaining safety items and keeping the mine well ventilated. Duties will include:
  • Operating a roof bolter in an underground limestone mine.
  • Training to operate an excavator with scaler attachment to scale rock from mine walls
  • Training to operate a face drill to prepare headings for the blasting process
  • Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
  • At least one-year of proficient experience operating underground mining equipment - such as a roof bolter, face drill, or scaler - is preferred.
  • Willing to work in an underground mining environment.
  • Able to operate underground mining equipment with precision and excellence in a confined space.
  • Must be able to work underground and outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
  • Ability to pick up on new tasks quickly.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Self-motivated - able to work without requiring close supervision.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug-screening.
