- Manage and distribute work assignments to pickers, ensuring orders are processed in alignment with sail dates and shipping schedules.
- Monitor and verify QC operations, ensuring all loads are reviewed and completed on time.
- Identify, document, and report damages to Inventory Control for timely resolution.
- Track and follow up on pending orders, proactively addressing any delays.
- Monitor workflow and adjust labor allocation to optimize efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments to maintain smooth warehouse operations.
- Troubleshoot system-related issues and submit IT/MIS tickets as necessary.
- Prepare for the next shift by printing order summaries and organizing workflow assignments.
- Accurately input order data into the Synapse system, ensuring correct spots and weights are recorded.
- Generate and submit shift reports, detailing operational progress and any outstanding issues.
- Support cross-functional initiatives by assisting in related outbound tasks as required.
- Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or wave planning is preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) such as Synapse or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective team coordination.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access Database.
- Forklift certification (Reach, EPI, Sit-Down) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Full-time position with shift-based scheduling.
- Must be available to work on time and as scheduled, as this is a critical role in outbound operations.
- High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).
- Warehousing certifications a plus.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English is required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to determine “root cause” of problem and determine corrective action.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
- Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
- Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
- Frequently required to talk, hear, bend over, squat, reach, push, pull, stand and walk.
- Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
- Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
- Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
- Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
- Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
