POSITIONAlliant Purchasing is seeking an Analyst: Clinical & Physicians Preference Items. In this role, you will directly support Alliant’s goal of delivering savings to healthcare providers through strategic utilization of clinical and physician preference item (PPI) contracts. Leveraging your clinical and physician preference item expertise, you’ll interpret spending data from prospective and current members, perform complex analyses to find opportunities and summarize savings results and recommendations.JOB DUTIES
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings using provider cost and utilization data.
  • Design executive summaries, tables, reports, charts, and graphs that provide actionable insight to our team and its member providers.
  • Organize, maintain, audit, cleanse, and cross-reference contract price files for shared internal reference.
  • Deliver on a range of analytical and ad-hock requests including market share analyses, portfolio competitiveness, contract optimization, utilization trends, and savings tracking, verification, and validation.
  • Serve as a resource regarding categorical and functional knowledge and expertise.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Five or more years of relevant experience specializing in clinical and physician preference items (PPI), specifically those utilized in cardiovascular, orthopedic, spine, neuroscience, gastrologic, urologic, and gynecological procedures required.
  • Proficiency in product categories like electrophysiology, revascularization, guidewires, catheters, balloons, introducers, sheaths, stents, grafts, mesh, vascular closure, cardiac rhythm management, heart valves, thrombectomy, electrophysiology, arthrectomy, biologics and biological mesh, bone and bone substitute, cement, and harvesters, arthroscopy, spinal implants and decompression, endoscopy, neuromodulation, perfusion, orthopedic joints and trauma, specialty urological, surgical incontinence, and gynecological ablation.
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with Altryx or other similar repeatable workflow software preferred.
