The Manufacturing Engineer will join a growing team of engineers working under the Engineering Manager at our client's IL production site. The Manufacturing Engineer will have oversight of assembly processes, driving improvements, organizing machine cells, and troubleshooting as needed. The Manufacturing Engineer can expect to rise to a leadership position quickly down the line.
  • Work with robotics/automated equipment, troubleshooting as needed and designing tooling/fixtures to improve throughput
  • Using LEAN/Six Sigma principles, identify areas for process improvements and implement those initiatives into production
  • Implement/update machine cell layouts using 3D Modeling software
  • Establish and maintain process flow, writing work instructions, SOPs, and PFMEAs
  • Train/guide maintenance team on proper handling of machinery and other equipment

  • 3+ years experience in manufacturing
  • Strong experience working with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software
  • Experience using PFMEAs
  • Background leading/participating in LEAN/continuous improvements, and a mindset of always searching for ways to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Technical/engineering degree preferred, but can be made up for with relevant experience
  • Experience working with automation
  • Experience writing/handling/reviewing of engineering documents
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Base salary $80,000-$100,000 depending on level of experience
