USD 90000 - 105000Experience :5 - 25 YearsJob DescriptionPerformance Contracting is seeking a Branch Safety Supervisor for its Raleigh-Durham 531 operations based in Durham, NC. This individual will be responsible for :
- Assist the branch with implementing and administering the PCG and client accident prevention plans, policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the company and client safety reports, statistics and documentation are submitted in a timely manner.
- Provide safety technical expertise and support to the branch.
- Promote safety and safe work practices.
- Assist in the investigation of work-related injuries, illnesses and near-miss incidents.
- Enforce corrective action to prevent the recurrence of hazardous conditions or behaviors.
- Practice timely and accurate accident reporting.
- Review all accidents and investigation reports.
- Act as liaison between the company and client as it relates to site safety management.
- Assist in identifying, correcting and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards.
- Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies and procedures.
- Serve as a safety resource for employees.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards.
- Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance.
- Establish branch and project safety goals.
- Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Provide comprehensive monthly reports to Corporate Regional Safety Manager.
- Must have at least 3 years' experience working in construction safety
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, a related discipline, or comparable work experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- A clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught
- Strong customer service skills and an ability to build lasting client relationships
- Must have critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to work under pressure and deadlines
- Ability to prioritize projects and daily activities
- General knowledge of trade tools, equipment, and materials used in the construction industry
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations and construction safety standards
- OSHA certification
- Board of Certified Safety Professionals credential (e.g., CHST, ASP, CSP) is a plus
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred
- Training experience is preferred
