Job Title: Training SpecialistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Training Specialist with expertise in adult learning and curriculum design. The ideal candidate will develop and deliver training content for web-based and computer-based platforms, supporting simulation for large-scale software systems. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective training for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and other military users.Responsibilities
  • Develop training materials, including computer-based training, instructor guides, operator manuals, and assessments.
  • Conduct training events for MDA and warfighter users focused on application operations and missile defense command and control operations.
  • Collaborate across teams to define and maintain up-to-date training plans and materials.
  • Prepare plans, internal communications, and briefings for the training team and program leadership.
  • Represent the training team to MDA and warfighter users in field training and train-the-trainer programs.
Essential Skills
  • Advanced degree with 3+ years of experience or a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in adult education.
  • Experience in developing training content for web-based or computer-based training systems.
  • Technical aptitude in command and control systems, especially Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications systems.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with SCORM, Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL), and web-based learning for government or military C2 systems.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams on software development contracts.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Captivate, Adobe Photoshop, Articulate, and MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time.
Work EnvironmentThe position offers a 9/80 work schedule, providing a balanced work-life environment. The role requires some travel to support training courses, both domestically and internationally. The candidate will be part of a team that integrates and coordinates Ballistic Missile Defense System assets, ensuring effective collaboration and decision superiority for military operations.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, Colorado.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
