The programmer writes codes to automate power driven machines that cut and finish metal, wood, or plastic such as lathes, grinders, mills, and punch presses.GENERAL DUTIES
  • Interact with Engineers, Sales, and Sales Coordinators to write programs and/or modify existing ones.
  • Make calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
  • Translate instructions into a (CAM) program.
  • Analyze job orders and perform necessary calculations.
  • Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs.
  • Ability to read and understand blue technical drawings.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years related experience with 3D modeling software (ProE, SolidWorks, Auto Desk, Inventor, or AutoCAD.
  • CNC Machining experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • MUST PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK, DRUG SCREEN, AND CREDIT CHECK.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to stand, walk and lift for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Vision abilities requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth
  • Required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 25 lbs. continually.
  • May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.
