Type: ContractPosition OverviewWe are seeking an MRI Technologist for a unique opportunity in a research-focused imaging center in Chicago. Unlike traditional clinical roles, this position is centered around supporting research studies in a structured, low-pressure environment. It is ideal for MRI technologists who are interested in contributing to scientific advancement without the demands of hospital-based imaging.Why This Role is DifferentThis is not a high-volume clinical role. You will be working in a controlled, collaborative setting where research and precision are prioritized over patient throughput. You'll work alongside a dedicated research team that handles most patient education and preparation, allowing you to focus on high-quality image acquisition.No weekend shifts or holiday coverageNo inpatient imaging, no pediatric cases, and no sedation/anesthesia casesMost exams do not require IV access or contrast administrationA structured training and onboarding period is providedSupport from experienced team members will be available throughout the assignmentEquipment UsedPhilips 3T Achieva - primarily used for fMRI examsPhilips 3T Ingenia - used for breast, body, and prostate imagingComprehensive prep materials and workflows are available for both systems.
