As the Quality Assurance Technician, you will ensure non-conforming components are quarantined as required by documented procedures. You will assign notification/corrective action requirements and follow through to completion and will also be responsible for ensuring all nonconforming materials are accurately documented and dispositioned as required for both Supplied items and Customer returns. You will also inspect and qualify products based on inspection methods, procedures, and processes.What you will do:Perform inspections on all products and components manufactured in-house or from outside suppliers to ensure conformance to business specificationsConfirm that accompanying documentation meets requirementsPerform roving shop floor inspections as needed or requiredPerform Non-Destructive Testing and Destructive Testing as required in process and upon receiptCommunicate non-conformances to applicable departments and collaborate on resolutionsComplete assigned audits as assigned or scheduledDocument common cause non-conformances into reject logs and applicable reportsWork in a safe manner following safety requirements, protocols, and proceduresPerform all other duties as directed or requiredWhat we are looking for:High School diploma or GED required; Technical degree or Associates preferred0-2 years related experience; or combination of education and experienceExperience in measuring and evaluating gears and gear formsAbility to use all common inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, video inspection systems, comparator, and pin and thread gaugesAbility to read and understand blueprints, including the definitions of ANSI Y14.5 (GD&T) symbols and their relationshipsMust be comfortable using various software programs including Microsoft Office; Oracle experience a plusStrong communication and organizational skills a mustAbility to work as both an individual contributor and in a team environmentAbility to lift 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantlyMust have good manual dexterity and visual acuity#LI-JT1CompensationEmployee Type: Exception HourlySalary Minimum: $45,000Salary Maximum: $65,000Incentive: NoDisclaimer: Where a specific pay range is noted, it is a good faith estimate at the time of this posting.
