- Prepare tools and perform safety checks on equipment and acid tanks.
- Load/unload parts into chemical tanks and monitor the stripping process.
- Mask parts using designated internal and external methods.Verify fixture setups meet quality standards for dimensions and specifications.
- Install, align, and secure tooling and parts on machines.
- Load control media or retrieve pre-programmed instructions; report errors as needed.
- Set machine controls for spindle positioning and operational factors.
- Operate equipment independently, monitor for malfunctions, and adjust as needed.
- Manually operate equipment for non-automated tasks or when programming fails.
- Change tools and setups as required; measure parts for blueprint compliance.
- Handle hazardous waste properly, including labeling, containment, and disposal.
- Keep containers closed unless adding/removing waste.
- Notify EHS Manager when using new materials for waste determination.
- Participate in hazardous waste training.
- Clean up spills, leaks, or overflows of hazardous materials.
- Clean equipment, tooling, and parts.
- Perform assigned preventative maintenance.
- Record and collect operational data for documentation.
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication Skills: Able to read and understand basic instructions, write simple correspondence, and effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Math Skills: Proficient in basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of applying common sense to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and resolve routine problems involving multiple variables.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic skills in using personal computers and common software applications such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
