- Perform welding operative procedures and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Cooperate with the production engineering department to improve Welding Process Technologies.
- Conduct Welding Process Qualification and Welders Qualification.
- Address suppliers' welding issues.
- Analyze welding and metallurgical problems.
- Collaborate with Quality and Engineering Departments to verify compliance with AWS or ISO 3834-2 processes, ensuring correct execution.
- Develop and document welding procedures that comply with AWS or ISO standards.
- Implement robust quality assurance measures, including regular inspections to verify compliance with AWS or ISO 3834.
- Optimize processes by collaborating closely with the production engineering department to analyze current welding processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct thorough investigations to identify the root causes of welding and metallurgical problems.
- Proficient in welding engineering, CWI, robotic welding, Fanuc robots, and robotics.
- Experience with weld robots.
- Quality experience including root cause analysis PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, AWS, ISO 9001, 8D, A3, 5 Why’s.
- Metallurgical process experience.
- Knowledge of weld technology, joining processes, root cause analysis, metallurgical engineering, ISO standards, and AWS.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Technical Discipline.
- Certified Weld Instructor (CWI) License/Certificate.
- 3+ years of weld engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of weld robotics programming experience (Fanuc preferred), with the ability to program from scratch.
- Experience and ability to physically MIG weld.
- Experience with ISO and AWS Quality standards.
- Certified Weld Engineer Certification (CWE).
