HME Companies is a fast-paced, vertically integrated real estate development company dedicated to designing, building, and operating high-quality senior living and multifamily communities.We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to manage on-site operations for a Senior Living construction project. This role requires hands-on leadership, coordination of subcontractors and trades, and a deep understanding of construction safety, scheduling, and quality control.As the on-site leader, you will ensure all field operations run efficiently, safely, and according to plan. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supervising mid to large-scale commercial construction projects, with a strong background in senior living, multi-family, or healthcare facilities being a plus.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all daily on-site construction activities to ensure timely, on-budget project completion;
  • Coordinate labor, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to maintain job site productivity;
  • Enforce and lead job site safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and perform site safety inspections;
  • Monitor and update construction schedules, tracking progress and addressing potential delays;
  • Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, and trades to resolve field issues quickly and effectively;
  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards, specifications, and building codes;
  • Maintain daily field reports, site logs, and all relevant project documentation;
  • Act as the primary on-site contact for inspectors, clients, and subcontractor leads; and
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal construction regulations and permits.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar field supervisory role;
  • Proven track record managing crews on commercial or residential construction projects;
  • Strong knowledge of construction procedures, materials, safety standards, and job site logistics;
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specs;
  • Excellent leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills;
  • Clear and professional communication with all team members and stakeholders;
  • Proficiency with construction management software; Buildertrend, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office preferred;
  • OSHA 30 certification required (or willingness to obtain); and
  • Valid driver's license.
