Schedule: Traditional Office Hours1. Overview / Why This Role Matters💡 Lead with purpose - Our client is looking for a Chief Financial Officer and help drive financial excellence in support of community impact!2. Key Responsibilities / What You'll Do
  • Direct the financial affairs of the agency, within the parameters outlined by the President and Board of Directors
  • Direct and coordinate activities and staff of the accounting department
  • Establish, implement and maintain financial objectives, policies, budgets, and projections
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely reports to the President, senior staff, board, grantors, and governmental entities
  • Monthly analysis of cash flow, operational budget, investments, and all other financial aspects of the organization
  • Advise management and board on needed operational adjustments due to changes in tax laws
  • Maintain capital outlay and fixed asset depreciation schedules, and recommend investment of capital
  • Develop the operational budget, monitor implementation, and recommend changes
  • Prepare documentation required for the annual audit
  • Develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures related to internal controls and financial management
  • Staff the Finance Committee and work with the Treasurer of the Board
3. Required Skills & QualificationsMust-Have
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance
  • Minimum four years of experience in accounting or related field
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills, analytical and problem solving abilities, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and short-term deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Nice-to-Have
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Experience with nonprofits and federal/state grants
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Andar Software
