Position Summary
Deans Professional Services is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Mammography Technologist to join a leading healthcare team. This position is responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures in accordance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in imaging and a commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced mammography exams in compliance with all radiation safety procedures
- Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and ensure proper positioning
- Administer contrast material when necessary and verify imaging quality
- Accurately enter and monitor patient data in the imaging system
- Perform and document quality control testing on equipment
- Support ACR accreditation and renewal processes
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or patient concerns to management
- Take part in emergency call rotation as needed
- Promote a safe and positive environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Serve as a mentor and resource for junior technologists
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Completion of an approved Mammography Technology program
- Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M), required
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R), required
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS or ALS), required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Ability to lift or maneuver patients safely with assistance
- Demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and accountability in patient care
- Strong technical knowledge of mammography protocols and quality assurance practices
