- Analyzes, designs, modifies, develops, configures, tests, implements and supports software applications.
- Installs, patches, configures and administers software applications on servers and works with appropriate IT support teams (e.g. Software Packaging & Development, IT Security)
- Troubleshoots and debugs application, interface, database and other issues using standard tools.
- Utilizes application lifecycle management tools (e.g. TFS/Azure DevOps for defect and test management, etc.).
- Develops working knowledge of applications, programs, processes and procedures used by clients. Applies that knowledge and general business acumen to conceive of durable solutions aligned with big picture and long-term architecture, while meeting immediate business needs.
- Writes standards and procedures to administer software applications. Documents installation, operating and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes data and information to support systems, processes, and to make decisions or recommendations, including root cause investigation and determination of most appropriate solution considering cost, effort and bigger picture architecture.
- Develops multiple alternative solutions when presented with a business or technical problem often dealing with ambiguity.
- Counsels business partners on process creation/improvement, system modifications, system implementation, and impacts to the business.
- Applies IT Service Management (ITSM) policies, processes and procedures to provide high levels of client service and meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) expectations.
- Exhibits a sense of urgency around incident resolution, service request completion, project schedules, performance improvement and additional assignments.
- Demonstrates strong business acumen and understands business unit processes, priorities and the impact of IT Services on the business unit.
- Partners with business clients on prioritization, design, testing, and issue resolution.
- Understands and successfully executes ITSM Change Control processes. Demonstrates working knowledge of review, approvals, migration, back out plans and client communications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering. Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, MIS, or Engineering is preferred. Successful completion of a certified Application Development Apprenticeship will also be considered
- Strong technical understanding of application development practices and strong analytical skills
- Production support experience with large enterprise applications.
- Knowledge and experience operating in an Agile environment centered around releases.
- Experience with configuration and administration SAP solutions as well as internally developed and other vendor-provided software applications.
- Experience developing and supporting various application integration methods.
- Experience developing and supporting various solutions utilizing.
