
Occupational Therapist

- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans to support student independence and learning.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to enhance fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies into the learning environment.
- Recommend and implement adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and classroom modifications.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and IDEA guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Provide training and consultation to teachers and staff on strategies to support student independence.
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Washington State Occupational Therapy License (issued by the Washington Department of Health – DOH).
- Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) Approval as a Related Service Provider (required for some districts, but not all).
- NBCOT Certification preferred
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
