Our client, a dynamic manufacturing company, is seeking a Manual Machinist to join their team. As a Manual Machinist, you will be part of the Metal Shop supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative spirit which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Manual MachinistLocation: Philadelphia, PAPay Range: $22-$26/hour (based on experience)Shift: 1st shiftWhat's the Job?
  • Set up and operate manual mills and lathes independently.
  • Select and set up appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job.
  • Machine parts to precise specifications using technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams to meet production targets and deadlines.
What's Needed?
  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience operating manual mills and lathes.
  • Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills.
  • Familiarity with both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Preferred: experience machining parts for furniture, equipment, or wood applications.
