Microbiology Lab Technician

• Perform aseptic microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using USP agar methods.
• Handle live cultures and conduct growth promotion testing in line with USP and SOP standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
• Collect and analyze environmental monitoring samples (e.g., purified water, soft water, air, and surface swabs).
• Identify trends in test data and assist in updating SOPs and test methods.
• Complete and review laboratory documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Support inventory management and ensure lab supplies are adequately stocked.
• Collaborate with other QC team members and assist with investigations, deviations, and CAPAs.
• Communicate effectively across shifts regarding testing requirements and lab updates.
• Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.

• Solid understanding of microbiological principles and aseptic techniques.
• Familiarity with microbiological testing equipment and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical data and follow SOPs precisely.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
