
Microbiology Lab Technician

- Perform aseptic microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using USP agar methods.
- Handle live cultures and conduct growth promotion testing in line with USP and SOP standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
- Collect and analyze environmental monitoring samples (e.g., purified water, soft water, air, and surface swabs).
- Identify trends in test data and assist in updating SOPs and test methods.
- Complete and review laboratory documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Support inventory management and ensure lab supplies are adequately stocked.
- Collaborate with other QC team members and assist with investigations, deviations, and CAPAs.
- Communicate effectively across shifts regarding testing requirements and lab updates.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Solid understanding of microbiological principles and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with microbiological testing equipment and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical data and follow SOPs precisely.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
