student learning, educational research, or discipline-based educational research, as evidenced by application materials.Position OverviewThe Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) to support institutional initiatives in evaluation, assessment, and engagement. This position provides a unique opportunity for a graduate student to contribute to high-level projects that inform decision-making and improve teaching and learning across KU.The GRA will work under the supervision of the Evaluation & Engagement Specialist and may also assist the Director of the CTE and the Associate Director for Student Learning and Analytics on special projects that advance the mission of the Center. Professional development benefits of this position include experience with institutional research and program evaluation in higher education, collaborative work with faculty and campus leadership, application of qualitative and quantitative methods to real-world educational challenges, and development of professional skills in data reporting, visualization, and communication.
This is a 12-month, .5 FTE (20 hours per-week) appointment.
The position is based at the Center for Teaching Excellence on the KU Lawrence campus, with some flexibility depending on project need.
This GRA appointment includes a salary rate, tuition support, and benefits consistent with KU's Graduate Research Assistant policies
