Overview:Our Maine team is growing fast, and we’re looking for skilled Fiber Splicers to join us! As a leading telecommunications contractor in the Northeast, we’re seeking experienced professionals who can handle ISP, OSP, and aerial fiber installations with precision and professionalism. What Will You Do:Perform fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting on ISP, OSP, and aerial buildsRead and interpret splice plans, schematics, and work ordersOperate OTDRs, fusion splicers, iOLM, and related test equipmentComplete detailed documentation, test results, and project closeoutsCollaborate with project managers, customers, and teammates to ensure high-quality results What You Will Need:3+ years of fiber splicing experience (OSP, ISP, or aerial) * Candidates must be local to Maine, or have plans to relocateSolid understanding of multiple OSP/ISP splice enclosures across various manufacturersAdvanced skills in cable prep, single and mass fusion splicing, and terminationsStrong troubleshooting abilities, including fiber characterization and advanced testing/documentationFamiliarity with OTDR, iOLM, power meters, and ribbon splicer functionsBasic understanding of splice/overlay schematics and software such as ARC/GIS, Telvent, and TrimbleAbility to travel through Maine / Northeast area in a company vehicleStrong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to train less experienced techniciansValid driver’s license * High school graduate or equivalent requiredWhat We Offer:

Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsAbility to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity. Drive and operate a vehicle, and/or bucket. Environmental conditions: exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and very loud noise. Repeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 80 lbs continuously. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, bend, walk, communicate via telephone, computer and/or face-to-face contact, vision to monitor, and use basic office equipment such as a personal computer, copier, and fax machines regularly during the course of work.This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
