VCA Animal Specialty Group is a busy 24 hour emergency and specialty hospital in Los Angeles, approximately 10 minutes from Downtown, LA!We are seeking highly skilled and knowledgeable technicians that have extensive experience in Emergency & Critical Care.Compensation : $ 28 - $ 35 / hr
Compensation dependent on experience, licensing, and schedule.
Shifts: Swing and overnight 4/10s.Mandatory requirements for this position:Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a veterinary emergency hospital.Must have at least 1 year working directly with emergency and critical patients.Be an advocate for the patients and provide top quality medicine for highly critical patients on an hourly basis.Have outstanding time management and organizational skills to keep up with and maintain hourly treatments.Maintain reliability (pertaining to time and attendance) to ensure the patients have adequate care.Be a self-started who can work independently with minimal guidance.Ability to triage and prioritize critical cases.Ability to see the big picture to ensure each patient is provided the best possible care.Excellent communication skills while always maintaining kindness, compassion, and respect.Technical skills and abilities necessary for this position:Placing and managing IVC and PICC lines. Experience with triple lumen catheters is a plus.Drawing venous and arterial blood samples and urine samples.
