Title:Engineer Sr. I - Service Development

The Sr. Service Development Engineer I develop and maintains service support documentation and training courses. Provides product troubleshooting for internal/external teams. Develops and maintains technical procedures. Represents the Service and Repair department during the product development process and the planning.   • Manage New Product Development projects incorporating Global Service and Repair requirements for “Design for Serviceability.”
  • Develop support methodology including troubleshooting documentation, installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrade processes for in field and in-house repairs.
  • Establish and implement service support documentation and infrastructure for capital equipment offerings.
  • Create and implement processes to expand, support, and develop technical call center and field service support of direct and 3rd party personnel.
  • Develop service bulletins to inform global teams of product support changes and maintenance updates.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting support for internal and external customers.
  • Create Preventative Maintenance procedures for products using country specific requirements.
  • Ensure a quality customer service experience and collaborate on resolving customer concerns.
  • Manage major projects or several service projects of moderate to complex scope and requirements.
  • Provide technical training to Arthrex Global Service and Repair teams, domestic and international.
  • Travels up to 20% domestically and potentially internationally.
Education/ Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, or related degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience required.
Skills:
  • Knowledge of FDA or ISO guidelines for the development of medical devices preferred.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment required
  • Design development process experience required.
  • Project management experience required.
  • Technical knowledge in development methodologies, design, and project implementation preferred.
  • Experience in process development preferred.
  • Experience creating and updating scope, budget, and schedule of projects required.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:PC and various and specialized software. High efficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and drafting software.Mathematical Skills:Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical and financial principles to the degree required to perform the job.Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions to complex problems.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables with reference to established precedents and policies for guidance.Language and Communication Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
