Job Description:OVERVIEWAs a Business Category Lead (BCL) in the National Retail Organization (NRO), you will be responsible for managing both internal key stakeholder and business relationships along with external vendor partnerships. Our key external partners include e2Open, Salesforce, and Omnitracs/Roadnet. This role focuses on ensuring seamless utilization of our customer data and technology platforms and providing exceptional support to internal end-users. You will play a key role in driving business growth at Walmart, Kroger, and other Grocery Retailers by facilitating effective use of our data, technology, tools and resources.The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a passion for continuous learning and development. They will demonstrate exceptional communication and priority management skills, proactively solve problems and adapt to changing priorities. While data and technical expertise is beneficial, a strong willingness to learn and adapt is more important for success in this role.To learn more about our World Headquarters and surrounding areaKEY ACCOUNTABILITIESRELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT & TRAINING:
  • Serve as one of the points of contact on escalated end-user inquiries regarding e2Open, Salesforce and Omnitracs/Roadnet data, reporting and other technology platforms.
  • Develop and deliver NRO data, reporting and technology training sessions throughout the fiscal year for internal end-users on Salesforce CG Cloud and e2Open platforms, in partnership with L&D resources.
  • Champion the relationship with e2Open for our customer data reporting platform.
  • Develop a strong partnership with the Digital & Technology (D&T) Solution Manager and D&T teammates.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders to ensure effective utilization of customer data and technology platforms.
DATA & INSIGHTS:
  • Leverage data from internal, industry, and retailer-specific sources to support the effective use of Scintilla, Market 6, other Customer Direct Data and Nielsen platforms.
  • Contribute to the development of holistic, omni-channel category strategies.
  • Ensure accurate data feeds from internal and external sources to GMI - NRO reporting and dashboards Sources (GCP, e2Open, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Assist Business Development Operations & Processes (BDOPS) and NRO Leadership with the creation of planning, analytics, and reporting tools. (Cool Tools!)
PROBLEM SOLVING & ANALYTICS
  • Lead daily system, process and operations management of NRO Technology and Data/Reporting to address NRO questions and resolve issues.
  • Troubleshoot difficult and complex issues, providing appropriate guidance/insight to optimize, improve and/or correct issues.
  • Gather and analyze syndicated data (e.g., from Nielsen, NRO, consumers and/or customers) to help NRO Leadership and BDOPS team identify opportunities to drive sales growth through implementation of retail strategies.
  • Lead development and enhancements of analytics and reporting to support cadence of accountability in partnership with NRO Leadership and the BDOPS team.
EXECUTIONAL EXCELLENCE
  • Partner and collaborate with NRO Leadership, BDOPS, and D&T partners to understand key needs and business context.
  • Support the development of joint customer and retail execution plans in partnership with NRO Leadership and BDOPS by providing data to define opportunities and business outcomes.
  • Partner and influence NRO Retail Sales Leads, Area Managers, and Category Managers to understand key needs and opportunities.
  • Deliver clear and streamlined communication at all levels to drive seamless planning and execution.
  • Take personal accountability and ownership for implementation, project, and training deadlines across various NRO D&T projects and initiatives. Prioritize work effectively to meet business needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years of total experience in sales, marketing, category management, shopper/consumer insights, customer-facing account management, or related fields.
  • Successful demonstration of analytical skills using various data sources, including but not limited to Nielsen, IRI, customer data (e.g., Salesforce CG Cloud), and/or consumer data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Experience with data visualization and/or data manipulation software (Tableau, MicroStrategy, Alteryx)
  • Experience supporting a retail sales group
