Operations Manager - Heavy Highway Construction

- Oversee day-to-day operations for multiple heavy highway construction projects and crews.
- Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams to allocate resources efficiently and align on project strategy.
- Review and analyze project documents to ensure compliance with requirements and contracts.
- Partner with the safety team to implement and manage site-specific safety programs.
- Monitor ongoing projects to ensure work is completed per specifications and schedules.
- Support Project Managers with project scheduling, reporting, and risk management.
- Maintain strong relationships with contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Mentor and train employees in project management and estimating.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management (Master's a plus).
- 15+ years of construction industry experience with at least 10 years in project management.
- Proven experience in heavy highway construction (DOT projects, paving, drainage, site work, concrete).
- Strong leadership skills with a stable work history.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and anticipate project challenges.
- Comfortable working 85% in-office / 15% in-field.
- Must be okay with dogs (we have them in the office!).
- Competitive Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 DOE
