- Lead and support Operators-Serve as a technical resource and team leader, providing guidance and support to machine operators.
- Train and Develop Team Members- partner with the VSM to train and mentor less experienced operators, fostering growth and skill development.
- Ensure Quality and Safety Standards: Complete work order documentation, inspect tools for safety, and uphold high standard for quality, efficiency and productivity.
- Promote Company culture and continuous improvement: model ethical behavior aligned with The Gund Company's values and suggest improvements to enhance production and order processing
- A technical degree and 5+ years of experience preferred, or a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Intermediate math skills & aptitude.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand drawing and blueprints.
- Ability to use measuring instruments accurately and effectively.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred - ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team is a plus.
- This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and chemicals.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
- This position may involve repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform manual tasks as required.
