Description :Specific Job Functions:
  • Manage assigned functions consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, division, and property.
  • Manage the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s G.E.M. service standards and brand attributes.
  • Coordinate and conduct performance appraisals of staff in accordance with property and company guidelines.
  • Manage Human Resources responsibilities including creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction.
  • Maintain quality hiring, training, and succession planning process that encompass the company’s diversity commitment.
  • Manage and forecast convention and leisure market segments.
  • Complete monthly and annual reports.
  • Solicit and procure corporate, association, and incentive accounts in accordance with established marketing profiles and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain frequent contact with established and prospective clients.
  • Represent Treasure Island at trade shows, presentation, sales trips, etc.
  • Create programs to improve convention and leisure group room sales to target soft and off-peak periods.
  • Continue education and management training through programs provided by Hotel.
  • Meet established individual and team sales goals.
  • Assume duties of the Executive Director of Hotel Sales in his/her absence.
  • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
  • Oversee hiring practices/standards and ensure training programs reflect appropriate employee development guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree in Hotel Management, Marketing, or Business Administration required.
  • Five years in Hotel Sales with an emphasis in Convention and leisure sales required
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and a working knowledge of Ivvy preferred.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Some traveling is required.
