- Develop project design direction in coordination with leadership
- Understand and formulate design concepts and present to the client
- Direct projects of all sizes and levels of complexity
- Provide design leadership to project team
- Responsible for schematic design work
- Participate in the design control of projects in the design development, construction document, and supervision phases
- Provide direction to junior interior designers
- Integrate design requirements with architecture
- Prepare and develop with the team where required: drawings, models, images, material & mood boards and other documents relating to the design
- Coordinate the internal design team for the project
- Select and coordinate products and finishes for project that meet project sustainability goals
- Provide branding concepts for architectural projects
- Provide design direction for furniture and coordinate with furniture dealers to implement
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience
- Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design (BS/BA/BFA/MA/MFA)
- Strong interior design and leadership skills, demonstrating progressive responsibilities in all phases of architecture projects
- Substantial experience in the innovative design of complex, large-scale workplace projects
- Excellent Revit skills
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, Adobe applications, and Rhino
- Excellent written / verbal communication skills
- Experience in construction phase
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques
- Registered or pursuing registration preferred, LEED AP plus
- Strong planning skills are valuable
- Excellent knowledge of furniture, furniture systems, and interior finishes.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team
