We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer II supporting one of the premier programs within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) business unit . This role offers the chance to expand your expertise in requirements clarification, systems engineering analysis, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirements validation and verification.Responsibilities :
- Provide technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases
- Decompose requirements, define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team
- Provide engineering support for the execution of a portion of the programs test program including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation
- Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline.
- Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Bachelor degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development; requirements management; functional analysis/synthesis; interface definition and control; verification and validation
- Experience in Satellite Command/Control, Mission Management or Planning
- Experience with Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.)
- Development experience on a government contract
- Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions
- Good oral and written communication skills as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements databases
- Experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps in an Agile development environment
- Scripting knowledge (e.g.: Python)
