Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pump Plumbing Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of pumps, plumbing systems, and related equipment. This role requires a thorough understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain various types of pumps, including centrifugal, submersible, and booster pumps.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose pump and plumbing system issues to identify root causes and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of pumps and plumbing systems, repair and replace plumbing fixtures, pipes, valves as needed.
  • Test and calibrate pumps to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
  • Detect and repair leaks in Plumbing systems, conduct pressure test and leak checks to ensure plumbing systems meet regulatory standards and safety requirements.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager, parts and installation teams.
  • Keep your company truck clean, inside and out.
  • Keep your truck inventory up to date.
  • Properly complete paperwork.
  • Join the on-call rotation.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Have and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Participate in training allowing you to grow and develop as a professional.
  • Have or be willing to get the proper certifications. We can help you with this.
Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience as a pump plumber, plumbing mechanic, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, pumps, and related equipment.
  • Proficiency in using plumbing tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
