Clinical Leadership
- Provide strategic oversight and direction for all medical services delivered at the health center.
- Maintain a reduced patient panel to stay actively engaged in clinical practice and connected with patient needs.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, culturally competent, and patient-centered care across all service lines.
- Support integration of medical, behavioral health, dental, nursing, and enabling services to promote coordinated care.
- Oversee implementation and adherence to clinical protocols, care guidelines, and best practices.
- Lead efforts to improve clinical outcomes and reduce health disparities among the populations served.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to organizational vision, growth, and strategy.
- Lead clinical transformation and operational improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, access, and care delivery.
- Play a central role in practice redesign, team-based care implementation, and provider workflow optimization.
- Evaluate and refine organizational structure, clinical staffing models, and service delivery frameworks in partnership with senior leadership.
- Drive the use of health technology, including EHR optimization, clinical decision support, and data-driven performance management.
- Supervise and support the performance, development, and engagement of the medical provider team.
- Lead efforts in physician and APP recruitment, retention, onboarding, mentoring, and professional development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and ensure a culture of continuous feedback and accountability.
- Promote a healthy, team-oriented, and mission-aligned provider culture.
- Direct quality improvement initiatives, including clinical quality metrics, UDS, HEDIS, and HRSA compliance.
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to clinical performance data and outcomes, driving system-wide improvement.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
- Serve as the clinical lead for risk management, peer review, incident reporting, and credentialing processes.
- Act as a visible, engaged leader within the patient and broader community to promote trust, outreach, and access.
- Represent the organization in collaborative partnerships, public health initiatives, and clinical stakeholder forums.
- Foster an environment that prioritizes patient dignity, access, equity, and satisfaction.
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Board certification and active, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in [State].
- Proven clinical leadership experience, ideally within an FQHC or community health center setting.
- Strong clinical background with ongoing commitment to providing direct patient care.
- Deep understanding of community-based healthcare delivery and the challenges facing underserved populations.
- Experience with clinical quality programs, EHR systems, and interdisciplinary care models.
- Collaborative, inclusive leadership style with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Growth-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt, innovate, and lead change.
- Experience leading clinical transformation or practice redesign is highly desirable.
- Bilingual and/or experience working in diverse communities is a plus.
