This position will also provide a wider coverage area.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesMaintain the Micros system both hardware and softwareCorrect database issue through out the Micros systemProcess all Micros changes and menu configurations requestsOrganize proper retention of historical data either to disk or tapeFix or replace non-operational equipmentMaintain the retail systems both hardware and softwareFix or replace defective hardwareWork with the retail manager to ensure proper configurationCover weekend hours for a seven day I.T. coverage planEstablish and conduct a Preventive Maintenance schedule for all printer and PCsCollect a hardware inventory for comparison to our automated listManage and administer all Loews Hotel policies as they relate to the I.T. departmentSupportive Functions and ResponsibilitiesNotifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of all problems and/or unusual matters of significanceAttends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessionsPromotes and applies teamwork skill at all timesIs polite, friendly, and helpful to all guests, management and fellow employeesMaintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work areaExecutes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standardsComplies with required safety regulations and proceduresComplies with hotel standard, policies and rulesRecycles whenever possibleRemains current with hotel information and changesComplies with hotel uniform and grooming standardsAbility to make decisions on imperfect informationAgility in multi-taskingBias toward actionDecisivenessOther duties as assignedQualificationsDetailed knowledge of software and hardware operating systems to include: Windows OS, MAC OSManagement and operation of: Retail POS and F&B POS (Micros)Knowledge of network architecture and system designEffective organization and communication skills
