- Leads the communication and intergovernmental relations activities with Legislative staff and other governmental personnel.
- Coordinates Legislative bill analyses and related correspondence.
- Leads the implementation of Legislative programs, such as the Juror Cost Initiative.
- Administers applicable systems and resources, such as LobbyTools.
- Administers the reporting requirements specified in section 286.001(2), Florida Statutes.
- Represents the agency with other entities.
- Assists and provides agency-wide training when applicable.
- Identifies and conducts research on issues of significance to the JAC.
- Assists the Executive Office with researching, drafting, and preparing reports.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

- The legislative process in Florida, including the appropriation process, budget amendments, substantive bills, and the amendment process.

- Section 216.023, Florida Statutes, as it relates to the Legislative Budget Request process.
- Section 216.292, Florida Statutes, as it relates to budget amendments and budget transfers.
