- Administrative/Clerical: office work such as filing, making copies, typing, shredding, faxing, etc.
- Patient Care Volunteers: provide personal care, companionship, emotional support, and practical assistance, which will enhance the comfort and quality of life for patients. Patient Care volunteers may also provide relief for caregivers, prepare meals, or assist patients with household chores.
- Bereavement Volunteers: provide anticipatory counseling and bereavement support to families/caregivers.
- Errand Volunteers: offer a type of practical support often needed by hospice patients and families/caregivers. These duties may include picking up needed supplies or grocery shopping.
- A compassionate attitude towards helping others is essential.
- Previous experience in home care or volunteering is a plus but not required.
- Basic knowledge of CPR or first aid is beneficial.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
