Local store marketing planning within guidelinesESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:Acknowledge, greet and engage with guests.Responsible for hiring, training and performance management of team members.Exceptional communication of information distribution to entire department.Demonstrate effective leadership skills by managing time and delegation.Manage department activities related to stocking, pricing and rotation of merchandise.Develop team members and future leaders utilizing available materials and systems.Assist in ordering, receiving, display and sale of all products in accordance to company policy.Manage department inventory control to maintain proper stock level so that there are no out of stock or low stock.Follows established departmental procedures for receiving merchandise including inspecting the product when delivered, restocking cases to insure freshness and quality, accuracy and product rotation.Controls department expenses by improving operations and efficiencies, by controlling labor costs and by reducing losses due to shrinkage and pilferage.Monitor and control all procurement costs and expenses according to budget.Work with Store Manager on hiring, evaluation and overall supervision of department employees.Train the produce team in new policies and product knowledge.Oversee the inventory process.Develop positive shopping experience and ensure customer satisfaction.Set-up product displays in store entrance and other sections according to merchandise plan-o-gram.Develop process improvements to maximize sales and profitability.Educate staff about safety and sanitation procedures.Oversee that Food Safety Procedures are adhered to.Supervisory Responsibility:Directly supervises Team Members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance and disciplining employees.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of retail operations, staffing, training/development, and general business knowledgeMust possess excellent organizational skillsAble to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, within the restaurant and outside, while maintaining a professional demeanor.Able to rationally solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables.Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used by employees, customers, etc.Able read, write and perform basic mathematical calculationsAble to plan, project and organize a variety of tasks and functions.Job Specifications:High school graduate and/or equivalent with emphasis on skill training.
