With more than 34,000 employees, the company generated sales of CHF 11.76 billion in 2024.Job DescriptionSika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business.The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for general facility maintenance on their shift and will report directly to the maintenance Manager.
Coordinate all maintenance projects
General office and manufacturing maintenance
Lubrication / oil changing of heavy production machinery
Repair / replace bearings, gear-heads, belts, chains, conveyors, filters, etc.
Modify existing structural components to comply with safety regulations, cost savings measures as required
Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health & Safety
Other tasks as assigned by manager
Qualifications
High School Degree
5 + years of experience industrial mechanical experience in a production environment
Prior forklift certification a plus
Familiarity with environmental, health & safety regulations
Must possess good mechanical aptitude and be able to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls
Extrusion and sheet line experience a plus
