Description :Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking for a strong and motivated Maintenance Technician for the new start-up manufacturing operations in Athens, TN located between Knoxville and Chattanooga off of I-75.The Maintenance Technician supports production activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of the production line equipment and machinery. This role inspects and repairs machinery and equipment based on operating parameters.The following are the major duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:
  • Analyzes mechanical, electrical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Reading and comprehension of Electrical schematics.
  • Tests newly installed or refurbished equipment to ensure fulfillment to specification and safety.
  • Immediately respond to maintenance issues when production has stopped due to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic problems.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory of maintenance equipment and parts. Order new parts as necessary.
  • Install and maintain program modifications for all machines.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance manager for the installation and removal of equipment.
  • Complete purchase order requisitions for all purchased goods, equipment, or services.
