
Geospatial Data Scientist

- Ensure the seamless adoption of new tools and processes with minimal oversight.
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture; assemble large, complex data sets to meet business requirements.
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements, such as automating manual workflows, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for scalability.
- Maintain infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from diverse sources using SQL and Azure ‘Big Data’ technologies for GIS consumption.
- Build analytics tools to provide actionable insights, improve operational efficiency, and track key business performance metrics.
- Develop custom tools and widgets for ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in GIS, data science, data engineering, or cloud programming or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Experience in SQL and database management/development.
- Experience with the ESRI suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Hubs, Dashboards, Experience Builder, and ArcGIS for Power BI.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Query.
- Valid US Driver’s License, and as a condition of employment, pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.
- As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening.
- Experience with API frameworks such as ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python, R-ArcGIS, CityWorks API, Flask, and Django.
- Experience in ETL processes and automation.
- Experience with scripting and programming in Python and/or R.
