- As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance to qualify.
- A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen to qualify.
- Design and develop interactive maps, dashboards, reports, and StoryMaps using automation and AI/ML techniques.
- Create and optimize custom GIS tools and workflows using Python and other programming languages.
- Manage geospatial and non-spatial databases to ensure data integrity and optimize performance.
- Develop new GIS applications and enhance existing ones with a focus on user experience and innovation.
- Conduct advanced spatial analyses and modeling to support resource allocation, risk assessment, and site selection.
- Prepare high-quality visual content and briefing materials, including maps, figures, and presentations, with minimal oversight.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop executive summaries and respond to data requests from DoD and Federal stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot application and data issues to ensure continuous system performance.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance geospatial capabilities and contribute to team success.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Environmental Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5-7 years of GIS experience; 2-5 years supporting Federal Government clients, preferably DoD.
- Proficiency with ESRI tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Server, Portal).
- Strong programming skills in Python; experience with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, C#, or .NET a plus.
- Experience with AWS S3 (or similar), geospatial data types (vector/raster), and data integration.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented, collaborative work ethic.
- This position will be a hybrid work environment, combining telework and in-person work in a climate controlled office setting.
