Scarsdale, NY 10583Principal Responsibilities:We are currently seeking an Institutional Giving Manager to lead the full life cycle of JCCMW's grant activities, currently generating nearly 70% of contributed revenue. Reporting to and collaborating closely with the Chief Development Officer, you will oversee researching, writing, submitting, and tracking grant proposals, while cultivating relationships with foundation, corporate, and government funders. As we continue to grow, including expanding our individual giving program with the hire of an Individual Giving Manager, your role will be instrumental in increasing revenue from institutional sources.This is a key moment to join our talented and growing team, contributing to JCCMW's long-term fundraising success while supporting our mission of community enrichment and joy.Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Develop and implement strategies to secure all foundation, corporate and government support for programs across all areas of the JCCMW.
- Research and identify institutional funding opportunities that align with the JCCMW's mission and priorities.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with institutional funders through consistent communication, including donor meetings, site visits, and ongoing stewardship.
- Write compelling, tailored proposals, letters of inquiry, grant applications, and acknowledgments to secure funding from institutional donors.
- Ensure all proposals, supporting materials, reports and financial updates meet funder compliance, guidelines and deadlines.
- Work closely with program teams to gather necessary data, program outcomes, and budgets for grant submissions.
- Collaborate with finance, operations and facilities teams to effectively execute and implement capital and programmatic government contracts.
- Along with the marketing team, ensure proper crediting of institutional support in all published materials.
- Maintain accurate records of all institutional giving activities, including grants submitted, outcomes, and communications, in our donor management system (CRM).
- May be assigned other duties reasonably related to job responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree and minimum of 4-6 years working in non-profit development with a focus on institutional giving and grant writing.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, including excellent interpersonal, networking, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with funders and key stakeholders.
- Experience developing grant budgets and working closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Ability to design and execute realistic timelines, task delegation, and project management during grant process
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work with multiple departments.
- Must possess the highest degree of discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to analyze financial data and proficiency in spreadsheet and database software applications.
