
Senior Specialist, Business Systems Analyst

- Develops product vision and strategy, and communicates it with other BSAs, software development team members, customers and stakeholders
- Develops a product roadmap or release plan, and prioritizes features for development to ensure product delivery schedules are met or exceeded
- Serves as the Product Owner, and communicates product vision, strategy and purpose to the team, effectively translating customer requirements
- Tracks project deliveries, analyzes business metrics, and reports status of deliverables
- Uses strong communication skills (written, verbal, visual) to effectively bridge the knowledge gaps between the members of the team, technical and non-technical
- Develops, maintains and prioritizes a healthy backlog using Agile Scrum practices, making informed prioritization decisions based on customer and stakeholder input
- Collaborates with team to build a complete understanding of the customer requirements
- Assist in writing and reviewing technical documentation
- Communicates with stakeholders at varying technical levels; coordinates directly with customers and contract officials, as well as give presentations and briefs of program status, including existing and new/future requirements
- Maintain a can-do attitude; ability to tackle new and unique problems and reach solutions
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed
- Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

- Military experience is a plus
- Software development experience
- Ability to utilize multiple desktop publishing and still-image editing programs
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong understanding of requirements of engineering practices for solicitation of information and derivation of requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technology or business related field with 6 years minimum prior work experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience working as a Business Analyst, Engineer or experience with Department of Defense customers, hardware and software integration, or installation/maintenance of avionics systems
- Proven background of delivering quality requirements and seeing deliverables through to completion
- Required to sit for long periods of time
- Infrequent light physical effort required
- Written and verbal communication
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse
- May require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane
- This is an on-site position
