Platinum Seniors Care, a premier homecare provider in Maryland, is recruiting a Director of Nursing (DON).Exceptional care and support are the foundation of Platinum Seniors Care, and DON will have primary responsibility for leadership to ensure that our clients and caregivers are well supported. The DON will develop written plans of service to be delivered for each client, and then supervise the delivery of the services by CNAs through review of client records and client supervisory visits.Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):Prior to the start of care, assess the needs of each client and specify services that shall be delivered based on a written plan developed in collaboration with the client and client's family (Plan of Care.) The plan shall include at least the following:1. Assessment of the client's needs;
2. Functional limitations of the client;
3. Activities permitted;
4. Special dietary needs;
5. Specific personal care services to be performed; and
6. Frequency of service.
  • Aid in the development of processes to monitor appropriate utilization of services.
  • Direct the implementation of service goals and objectives. Develop standards that ensure safe and effective services to clients and families.
  • Participate in caregiver evaluations and design and implement ongoing seminars and education.
  • Participate in periodic reviews of policies and procedures to ensure quality assurance with COMAR 10.07.05.
  • Consult with physicians in matters relating to patient care services.
  • Participate as needed in the Agency’s overall sales and marketing efforts of the Agency.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience, with in-home care experience preferred.
  • Hold a current RN license in the state of Maryland, Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
  • Leadership skills essential
  • Experience with the elder population preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
