We are looking for a dedicated and service-focused Assistant Manager / Lead Server to join our opening team at Noii Sushi. This hybrid role bridges leadership and hands-on service, ensuring smooth floor operations while delivering refined hospitality in every guest interaction. You will lead by example, coach and support the FOH team, and act as a vital connection between the kitchen, bar, and dining room.
The ideal candidate brings a calm, confident presence, strong leadership instincts, and a deep commitment to excellence in hospitality.Key Responsibilities:
● Lead the front-of-house team during service, ensuring smooth and efficient floor operations.
● Act as Manager on Duty when needed, upholding Noii’s standards and service expectations.
● Support training, mentoring, and onboarding of new team members.
● Coordinate service timing with the kitchen and bar to maintain seamless guest experiences.
● Monitor and maintain guest satisfaction throughout service, responding proactively to issues.
● Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and opening/closing procedures.
● Oversee POS transactions, tip distribution, and basic administrative tasks.
● Contribute to service improvements and team performance feedback with management.
● Help manage FOH inventory and ensure stations are stocked and organized.
● Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work culture.
● Model high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and accountability at all times.
● Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation protocols in line with Washington State regulations.Qualifications:
● Minimum 2 years of experience as a lead server, shift lead, or assistant manager in an upscale or high-volume restaurant.
● Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and guide a team.
● Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
● Calm under pressure with a guest-first mindset and eye for detail.
● Solid understanding of FOH operations, workflow, and service standards.
● Knowledge of Japanese cuisine, beverages, and dining culture is a plus.
● Must have or be able to obtain a valid Food Handler’s Certification and MAST Permit
